It was a great year of basketball for everyone. Mason was old enough to play in the Mini`s division which was pretty exciting. For the first time there were referees, score keepers, foul shots, etc. It was pretty fun to watch his games. And Lee was his coach this year, which was cool. He did a great job with all the boys. Mason was the smallest boy on his team, and a little timid, but he did improve his skills a lot over the year.
Dakota and Griffin played in Junior and Senior Tykes. It was Griffin`s first year, and he sure loved it! He had a few members on his team which made it a lot of fun! He was the biggest and had talent, when he wanted to concentrate (which wasn`t very often!) He joked around a lot and didn`t always take it seriously.... much to his father`s disappointment...
Dakota on the other hand, played her butt off! She did REALLY well this year, and improved TONS over last year. Her confidence was way up, and she would get a lot of rebounds and dribble it up and shoot. It was really cute to watch her determination. She was also a very diligent little defense player! We laughed at the expressions on the faces of the kids she guarded as they got frustrated that she would not let them EVER get away from her!
And of course, Scarlett was a joy to chase on and off the court! She never listened and disrupted many a basketball game!
